Adding Ribbon Appliqué to your Baltimore Quilt

Rose Lyre
A very simple blocked dressed up with 6 ribbon roses. The rushing style used for these roses was to ruch the outside petals to be twice the size as the inside petals to give a layered look. The appliqué stitch used on the leaves is visible to give the appearance of the serrated edge of the rose leaves.

Sprint Calla Bouquet
The callas are dimensional, which are made with two pieces of fabric in the shape of an elongated heart, where the lobes of the heart curl around each other to form the base of the flower. The Daffodils are all different styles of ruching and different caps are applied to each. I also wanted to show the daffodils from a variety of perspectives. (Grande Design)

Bouquet in Urn
A true mix of flowers in all types of materials; silk, cotton and French wire ribbon. The red roses and purple flowers are simple ruched roses. These flowers bring an elegance and dimension to the block that would not be the same if cotton were used.
